CREATE TIGER TIME-18 DAY CHALLENGE

tiger, nature, green

Tiger time for me, is time dedicated for my personal interests or hobbies. Time to do things that I don’t normally get to do. Time to be creative and to express myself. Like a tiger, no tiger has the same stripes, meaning that we are all different and unique. We all have different interests and talents that makes us who we are. With how busy life can get, we often have a hard time making time for these things. We might even feel selfish to make time for ourselves, but our time is limited. With only 24 hours in each day, we spend about 8 hours sleeping, 1 hour with a morning routine, around 9 hours for work and commute, 2 hours for dinner and chores, 1 hour for help with homework, 1 hour for family time, and finally 1 hour for a bedtime routine. That leaves 1 hour dedicated to personal time or tiger time. So, like a tiger that fiercely protects her cub, protect your dedicated time for what matters to you. You can spend this time working on personal projects or other important tasks you never seem to have time for. You work hard and you serve others, so you deserve to spend 1 hour a day for yourself. For me, I have chosen to spend this hour to improve myself through writing, to find what makes me happy and to find ways to embrace it. At least 1 day each week I would like to set the writing aside and just spend this hour doing something relaxing or fun. This well needed time to unwind will be beneficial for you and for the people you serve. I chose to dedicate my Monday through Friday for writing. If you’ve read my LIMIT SCREEN TIME-18 DAY CHALLENGE post, I have made it a goal to leave my Saturdays for a go-with-the-flow kind of day, in which I will make time for my hour of relax or fun, but most of my Saturday will be spent with family and no schedule attached. If that sounds great to you, try it! On Sundays, I have made it a goal to allow 1-3 hours for tiger time. I plan to start early, to keep time open for when my family is awake and wanting my attention. Achieving this goal, will give me a total of 6-8 hours for writing each week. My writing helps me find myself, and it helps me work on how I can improve and do better. Taking time to create healthy habits that will benefit both my family and myself. It might also allow me the chance to help others with similar struggles. We all deserve happiness, and 1 hour a day is well worth creating that happiness.
