MINDFUL2HAPPY WEEKEND ROUTINE-18 DAY CHALLENGE

Hi friends! In this post I’ve added my weekend routine as a template to meet your needs. This template was made to be simple, mindful, and an overall break from my busy weekday routine. Your weekend routine can start off written to help you stay on track and with consistency your checklist can become more of a mental checklist or automatic routine that you’ve created. A weekend routine can encompass various activities like spending mindful time with family or good friends, making tiger time for things that interest you like hobbies or activities such as writing or kayaking. Try to spend time in nature for natural light exposure to increase your happiness.

Here are some key elements and ideas for building a weekend routine: 

  1. Make time for things or people that make you happy.
  2. Make time for just you.
  3. Relax.
  4. Keep it simple.
  5. At the end of the weekend, get a head start to the upcoming week by doing tasks such as meal prepping to make your week easier.
  6. Physical Activity: Make time to exercise (run, take a long walk, or practice yoga).
  7. Personal Enjoyment & Mindful Practices: Incorporate activities that you enjoy such as reading, writing journaling, listening to uplifting music, spending time in nature, gardening, or going to the beach.

8. Hydration and Nutrition: Drink lots of water for hydration. Prepare and enjoy healthy meals and snacks. Continue to choose what’s good for you even on the weekends.

9. Stay consistent with your sleep schedule. Try to go to bed no more than an hour past your normal bedtime.
