We all have bad habits that we were taught or have developed along the way. Have you ever been frustrated with how you are doing something? How you are handling something? Do you feel stressed? Are you tired of feeling unhealthy mentally and physically? Me too! Which is why I created my mindful2happy blog. I wanted to have a place to put all my hard work that I’ve been wanting to work on for some time now. A place to create challenges for myself and for others who can relate to my struggles. I know that I’m not the only stressed out person who’s been dreaming of change. I challenge myself to not only create healthy habits, but to be consistent with making the changes needed to program my brain to become automatic with my new routine and desired way of life. According to research, it can take at least 18 days to create a new habit. The average being 66 days. The number of days it will take you will depend on you specifically and also the habit, so get started and see what works for you.
Other factors:
- Personal motivation.
- Consistency is key: The most important factor in forming a habit is consistency or repetition.
- Rewarding yourself, which is an extra motivator when creating and being successful with a healthy habit.
