CHOOSE WHAT’S GOOD FOR YOU

Everyday we as humans are faced with decisions, throughout the day we decide what to eat, what to say yes or no to, where to go, how to treat people, how to react, whether to walk or drive to a nearby place, etc. Yes, bad decisions can create a lesson learned, but what we really need to create in our lives are healthy habits that are good for our mind & body. Healthy habits that may prevent disease, a build up of anger, high cholesterol, reduce stress, allow more mindfulness in our lives, among other great habits that are good for you. I challenge you to take one day at a time to think before reacting immediately to things and choices that come your way throughout that day. Most things are obvious whether it’s good or bad for you. We just want our cake and eat it too, and we often follow learned habits and fear change. Allow yourself to take each situation that comes your way and ask yourself, “Does it serve you?” and “Does it make you happy?” Take each day and start choosing what’s good for you. Consistency is key, the more you do it, the easier it will be to make the healthy decisions, and remember that everyday won’t be great, this will be hard but worth it. Redirect any negative thoughts that arise because of bad choices you might continue to make. Don’t give up on yourself, you can do this!! Good luck friends on another mindful2happy challenge.
